11 Things About Me You Might Not Know

  1. For most of my adult life I worked as a Personal Assistant at an international Financial Institution.
  2. When I was still at school, I wanted to be a Veterinarian. Good thing that didn't happen, because I would have wanted to bring all the animals home, and my house just isn't big enough.
  3. Jayden from ForNever was inspired by Damon from Vampire Diaries. Yes, sometimes I do wish I could go to Mystic Falls and meet him. I most probably would not know what to say, but it would be nice anyway.
  4. Jared from My Recycled Soul would be my ultimate dream guy.
  5. From when I turned nine, we moved every single year, because of my dad's job (whenever he got promoted, we moved), so I have lived in so many places, it would take too long to list them all. My favourites were Windhoek in Namibia, Richards Bay in South Africa, Balbriggan in The Republic of Ireland, and Waterfall in South Africa.
  6. My first real proper job was as a Data Entry Clerk and it was when computers just came out. You could do nothing else on the computer, but input data. It had a green on black screen and every day I had to make a back-up onto a Floppy Drive and post it to Head Office.
  7. I can speak two languages fluently: English and Afrikaans.
  8. Writing this list, I realised most of the guys in my books names start with a J.
  9. In 2009, I shattered my right wrist whilst playing a game of Human Foosball at a Team Building Day for work, so now most of my wrist is titanium.
  10. I like listening to The Script, Westlife, The Vamps, 5SOS, One Direction, McFly and Bobby van Jaarsveld.
  11. One morning, in 2012, I woke up and my left ankle was dislocated. After many tests, we are all still clueless how this happened. I have come to the conclusion though that my soul goes gallivanting at night and was in a rush to get back ...
Let's have one more.

I am seriously afraid of the dark

There must always be a light on. I never used to be afraid of the dark, until a few years ago when I started having some pretty weird paranormal / supernatural kind of experiences and now I imagine seeing darker shapes within the darkness. Gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it. Watching too many horror movies could possibly be the reason - who knows. :o)

I read all these things on the internet of why I am supposed to be afraid of the dark, but none of those things they claim is the cause, happened to me. They also say, not to sleep with a light on because it can cause depression, but, I am sorry, there is absolutely no way I am switching my night light off.

I hope you enjoyed meeting me.
